Position Summary Information

Job Summary

Provide instruction in Computer Information Technology and related courses; develop instructional and evaluation materials; advise and register students; participate in appropriate college functions; and serve as resource person for the Business and Computer Science Division.

Essential Job Duties

Instruction:
1.Prepare and teach assigned courses in accordance with course outlines and published course schedule.
2.Teach courses on and off campus as well as distance courses as needed.
3.Test and evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records for student progress and attendance.
4.Prepare, review, and update course syllabi and provide a copy to students and Office of Academic Affairs.
5.Post and maintain office hours weekly, for advising and academic counseling.
6.Provide and evaluate instruction and instructional material as required.
7.Submit all college reports in an accurate timely fashion.
8.Attend faculty meetings.
9.Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and others
10. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum Education

Master’s degree in Information Systems or closely related discipline with 18 graduate hours in CIS from a regionally accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications

Network+, Security+, and A+ certification
Object oriented programming, C++, and web development experience. Community college teaching experience.

Physical Requirements

Must be physically able to perform job duties.

Required Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of educational technology and on-line teaching delivery.
Excellent computer skills, including database, spreadsheet and word processing applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
